The Competition Stinger is meant for the most serious recreational wheeler and rock crawling competitor.  It is in no way a cosmetic bolt-on.  Comp Stingers are a rugged component in preventing damage to the engine, radiator, winch, and front clip of your Jeep© during a lay-over or full roll.  Additionally, making your a front end-over virtually impossible with the Stingers progressive slope and height.  The Stinger has a perfect approach angle, giving your Crawler a great advantage over traditional bumpers.

Designed to prevent an easy flop from turning into a bad roll; Competition stingers will aid in protecting your radiator, grill and hood during a flop or roll.

The Competition Stinger's main hoop is built from 1 3/4 DOM .134 wall tubing.  The base plate is 1/4" laser plate steel.  The bumper stands 36" from its base at a 45º angle.  All Competition Stingers are unpainted. Designed to bolt directly onto an OE frame using OE mounting hardware. Stingers DO NOT include horizontal support bars; these are available separately (see below). Stingers are shipped bare steel. Stingers do NOT include winch mounting provisions. Stingers will work with any manufacture's winch mount plate.
OE tow hooks will work in conjunction with Poison Spyder's Comp Stinger; If a stronger recovery point is desired check out the D-Mounts Below. Relocation of auxiliary bumper lights is required. Poison Spyder offers a Light Relocation Bracket that mounts auxiliary light on top of the roller fairlead (see below).

Competition Stinger Braces are a weld-in kit designed to tie the Competition Stinger to your OE frame. Stinger Braces locate off the top of the coil/shock bucket and span to the middle of the stinger. Available for '97 to '06 TJ's and LJ Unlimited's.

 

The Poison Spyder light bracket gives your machine an additional mounting location on the roller fairlead of your winch. Constructed from 1/4" brushed aluminum and bolted down with 3/8" stainless hardware. Light bracket fits all Warn® and late model Ramsey roller fairleads.
Stinger are not designed as a recovery point! Poison Spyder Customs D-Shackle mounts are a versatile and easy way to create an attachment point on your trail machine.  Machined from 1" mild steel with beveled edges to ensure a penetrating weld.  A unique feature of this attachment point is the radius machined into its base.  the radius allows you to perfectly locate mount on 1.5" to 3" tubing, or any flat surface.  Excellent for square frames or tube chassis.  D-Shackle mounts are weld-on only and are 1" thick, 2.5" in height, and 3.5" at the base.
