| RADS ( Rapid Air Down valve System ) are a great compliment to the Spyderlock wheel; you wouldn't have bead locks if you didn't air down. |
 |
What are RADS?
They are an efficient and expedient way to lower your air pressure without any additional apparatus, like a core tool, screw on deflaters or an air gauge mechanism. By hand RADS simply twist to open an unrestricted valve that brings your tires down to a trail ready pressure in under a minute. The Rapid Air Down valve System is also adjustable, you can give them a slight turn for a slow regulated descent or a full twist for swift deflation. You can find RADS being utilized in conjunction with all of the Poison Spyder Rock rods that run Spyderlocks bead locks. RADS are an addition to the Spyderlock and must be ordered separately.

How do RADS install?
When compliant the Rapid Air Down valve System can be utilized in some wheels by installing them in the factory valve stem location. This involves simply replacing your current valve stem with a RADS, if your tire is already mounted the bead will need to be broken to give access to the back of the wheel. However due to the protected valve stem area on the Spyderlock a 29/64 hole needs to be drilled into the wheel, opposing the preexisting valve stem. Poison Spyder does not pre-drill to accommodate for the RADS. |
